Senior Counselor's Welcome
I would like to thank the members of the Bathurst U.C.T. Council 827 for supporting me in becoming your Senior Counselor for the year 2005-2006. I would like to congratulate Past Senior Counselor Brother Gordie Pitre on a successful year. I would also like to thank the line officers for accepting their positions as well as all committee chairpersons. We have a busy year in front of us and together we will make it work. Let's live up to our motto " People helping people ". Looking forward to seeing you at all events.

U.C.T. GRAND CONVENTION
The U.C.T. Atlantic Grand Convention will be held in Charlottetown , PEI May 12 to 14, 2005 . For further details, contact the U.C.T. office at 546-9139.
2005-2006 LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Our Council will be giving out 20 scholarships of $500.00 each. Application forms are available where our U.C.T. Bingo cards are sold. All application forms must be returned to our office by June 15 for draw on July 19th for the Bathurst region and on July 21st for the Acadian Peninsula region.
CANCER RELAY
Bathurst Relay for Life is scheduled for Friday, June 3, 2005 at the Coronation Park from 7pm to 7am. Anyone interested in forming a team, please contact Rita May Gates at 548-3887. If you would like to walk in the survivors walk @ 7pm, contact Lois Haglund at 549-4377. The Reception for survivors will be held at 6pm at the Heritage Building .
ATLANTIC GRAND COUNSELOR
Brother Val, your year as Atlantic Grand Counselor is coming to an end. On behalf of Bathurst U.C.T. Council 827, I would like to congratulate you on a very successful year as our own Atlantic Grand. You made Bathurst Council very proud and we wish you all the best at your upcoming Grand Convention in May.

Volunteering at blood donor clinics makes a difference in our community. Next clinic will be held May 25, 2005 . If you wish to help out, (our hours of service are 5pm to closing), please contact Rod Henry at 546-5227. THANK YOU ! to all our volunteers.

FAMILY FUN DAY
The U.C.T. Family Fun Day will take place again this year. The day will consist of Horseshoe & washer tournaments, lots of games for kids, hot dogs and much more. Details regarding the date and location will be shared with you by the office via Talk Mail. Stay tuned for more information.

J'aimerais remercier les membres du Conseil 827 de Bathurst pour votre support pour mon année à venir comme présidente pour 2005-2006. Mes félicitations à notre président sortant Gordie Pitre pour son année bien réussie. J'aimerais également remercier tous les officiers et les responsables des différents comités pour avoir accepter ces postes. Nous avons une année remplie devant nous et ensemble, nous réussirons à en faire un succès. N'oublions jamais notre devise " Les gens qui aident les gens ". CONVENTION ATLANTIQUE
La Convention Atlantique de U.C.T. se déroulera à Charlottetown, IPE du 12 au 14 mai, 2005 . Pour plus de détails, contactez le bureau au 546-9139.
BOURSES D'ÉTUDES 2005-2006
Notre Conseil offrira 20 bourses d'études au montant de 500$ chacune. Les formulaires de demande sont disponibles où les cartes de Bingo sont vendues. Les formulaires devront être retournés au plus tard le 15 juin. Les tirages se feront le 19 juillet pour la région Chaleur et le 21 juillet pour la Péninsule Acadienne.
RELAIS POUR LA VIE
Le Relais pour la Vie pour le Cancer aura lieu Vendredi, le 3 juin, 2005 au parc Coronation de 19h à 7h. Si vous êtes intéressés à former une équipe, SVP appelez Rita May Gates au 548-3887. Si vous voulez marcher dans la marche des survivants à 19h, appelez Lois Haglund au 549-4377. La réception des survivants aura lieu à 18h.

Valmond, ton terme comme président de U.C.T. Atlantique prendra fin bientôt. Au nom du Conseil 827 de Bathurst, j'aimerais te féliciter pour ton année bien réussie. Notre conseil en était fier et nous te souhaitons le meilleur pour ta Convention Atlantique en mai prochain.
